Date – Feb 9th, 10th and 11th, 2012 Location – World Class pitches around the city of Las Vegas Registration closes – January 27th The Las Vegas Invitational Tournament (LVI) is the official tournament for all ages and skill levels associated with the USA Sevens International Tournament and Festival. The LVI gives you a chance to participate and play over the days preceding the International Rugby Seven’s, in addition to watching the USA Sevens Tournament.

Hands down, Vegas is our favorite place to party and the USA Sevens Rugby weekend is just getting started. Whether you like rugby, poker, Party Poker, or just partying, then this is the place to be.
We can feel the excitement and we plan to be right in the middle of the action, starting with the Opening Ceremony in a few hours. The Parade of Nations, which features all 16 teams, takes place in historic downtown Vegas on Fremont Street. And, guess what . . . it’s free.
Even if you don’t have tickets to the games, you can come out support your team and then party with fans from around the world.
Immediately following the Opening Ceremony is the Fan Party at PBR Rock Bar and Grill at Plant Hollywood . . . right in the middle of the Las Vegas Strip. Entry is free for USA Sevens Fans!

“A Giant Awakens” is a 60 minute HD sports documentary that explores 135 years of American rugby. This is a must see for any sports or rugby fan.
This sports documentary explores 135 years of rugby in America.Through the lens of award winning filmmaker Sylvain Doreau, the essence, spirit, and challenges of American rugby are captured at all levels from youth to the USA Men’s National Team. This documentary takes you on a journey from Olympic glory in the 1920′s, to rugby’s 50 year hibernation in the US, to the USA Eagles capturing the hearts of all rugby fans at the 2007 World Cup in France.
American rugby today is about a few hundred thousand passionate players, coaches, referees, administrators and fans sharing the love they have for the game and developing that giant into the international powerhouse of the past. This is their story of passion, commitment, sacrifice, hope and success.

Hopefully it will be the upcoming USA Sevens Rugby Tournament and Festival in Las Vegas. not, you can always practice for next year at your local pub. If you are taking friends for the first time, maybe not a bad idea to show them too.
We’re sure you know how to act in a bar, depending on how rowdy the fans are . . . but we are here to help you be the best Rugby fan you can be.

USA 7s First Timers
So, you thought Las Vegas would be the “perfect” place for you to experience your first Rugby Game. Right . . . .
Don’t worry. What Happens in Vegas Stays in Vegas. It will be our little secret. Besides, once your done with this trusty guide and some tips from our FANatics – you will be able to pass for a real rugby fan in no time.
So, first things first. The USA Sevens has an excellent Cheat Sheet. Download the Sevens Rugby Primer today and bring it with you – or commit it to memory. It is a very good overview.
Now, if you are going to impersonate a fan, you still should become more familiar with the Rugby Lingo. But, let’s start with the good stuff first.
Tips for Impersonating A Rugby Fan
- Research the Game.
- Learn the Lingo.
- Respect Tall Old Men. Don’t ask why, just do it.
- Take Your Smart Phone. This is allot of info to digest. You may need to refer back to this page. OK, just bookmark it now. If all else fails, you may need to phone a friend . . . for backup or a quick escape.
- Know when to clap.
- Remember, teams swap sides at halftime.
- Make sure you dress for the game. Know the team you are cheering for and show up in over the top team spirit.
